Baa Atoll is one of the Maldives' most extraordinary marine sanctuaries, recognised as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve for its unmatched biodiversity and ecological significance. This protected area is famous for its mass manta ray aggregations and thriving underwater ecosystem.
Above the Surface: Lush island landscapes, pristine beaches and a variety of seabirds.
Below the Surface: World-famous manta ray feeding frenzies where dozens (sometimes hundreds) of mantas gather in a spectacular underwater ballet. Hanifaru Bay is also a key site for whale sharks. These waters are home to reef sharks, eagle rays and countless fish species.
